Saturday Sampler Janet Glynn Here’s how it works: At the scheduled times indicated we’ll introduce that month’s block and give a short demo of a technique or tool that can be used to make the block. At the first session you attend, purchase a kit for $5. It will contain the pattern and the fabric for the 12” block. Make the block at home and bring it to the following month’s session where you’ll get your next kit free! If you do not have the block completed, you can purchase that month’s kit for $5. Tee Shirt Quilt Diane Rigby Fee: $40 Is your tee shirt drawer overflowing and you can’t bear to get rid of any shirts? Here is the answer to keeping the shirts… Select a few (4 or more) and let’s make them into a quilt! Saturday, October 16th, 2010 This simple to make pillow uses the blanket stitch for appliqué, and built in decorative stitches for additional details. Add buttonholes to the envelope back and you have a pillow that will make a personal statement.
Class Objective: Explore using built in
decorative stitches for appliqué, create an envelope back pillow using
buttonholes and sewing the buttons on with the machine, and also use the
convertible free motion foot for echo quilting.
